About Me

Born January 20, 2001, Gabriel attended preschool at Paul E. Slaton Headstart in Ruston, LA. He then began elementary school at Cypress Springs Elementary School. This is where he started to like music thanks to his fifth grade music teacher. Gabriel attended I.A. Lewis School, a school that housed only sixth grade. There, he joined the beginning band under Mr. Randall Wood. He then moved on to Ruston Jr. High School that contained grades seven and eight. He continued in the band under Mr. Gary Teauge. During this time, Gabriel really began to mature as a percussionist, participating in events such as the Solo and Ensemble Festival. Gabriel finished at the Jr. High and moved on to Ruston High School. Under the direction of Mr. Walter Moss and Mr. Charles Pernici, Gabriel had begun to flourish in the new environment of competitive marching, harder music, and strict deadlines. He also now composes and arranges music for a variety of ensembles. Gabriel enjoyed his four years in high school and owes thanks to his family, friends, and acquaintances for their continued support and encouragement. Gabriel is currently attending Louisiana Tech University to major in secondary education and minor in music.
